Aagard Reunion

Whew!  We played hard and loved the fun - and now we are trying to recuperate!

All eight of Wade's siblings and their families (47 in all) came together this weekend to celebrate the mission call of his parents to Danske Ukraine.  We have not been all together in a long time so it was a treat to see them.  William is wandering the house this morning looking for his "friends".  We didn't put into play the time change - but it really knocked up down between playing hard and losing an hour.

We had a fish fry - courtesy of Chad's family- on Friday night.  It was truly a great feast of perch, walleye, and shrimp.  SOOOOOO yummy!!  Wade had the kids dig a hole for the ham we put in the pit the next morning for the dutch oven dinner that night.  That kept them quite entertained.  Aagard's love fires...

Saturday was spent with Wade finishing the girls carpet downstairs so Stacy's family could stay there.  It was a push - but he made it by noon.  Stacy showed up and finally all 8 kids were there.  Grandma and Grandpa's house was truly bursting at the seams - glad for good weather!  We took family pictures in the afternoon.

That evening we had our annual dutch oven cook-off - complete with trophies for the winning dishes.  We didn't win this year - but the competition was fierce!  Mitch, Mike and Lisa's family took home the trophies this year.  (What I should do is get the recipes!)

Sunday we  said farewell to Chad and Mitch's family.  We listened to Trent and Chelsey and Justin talk in Sac. Meeting and  then we had another feast for dinner.  Lisa made some great soup!  Last night we had FHE together with a last minute pot luck at our house - and of course, a fire in the firepit!

Thanks for the memories Aagards!

Sounds like too much fun. We need a dutch oven cook off, not that I like to cook that way, but I love to eat it! Sally

Hey! Thanks for having us!! The room was great! Are Erin and Chrissy all moved in? We made it home safely and it is always good to be home. Spring/Summer is in the air here so I'm heading to town later to pick up a tree to plant. All these exciting things to do. Talk to you soon. Stacy
