Tender Mercies
We just got back from a great weekend with the Despains in Laramie. We got to go see the Cowboys clobber the CSU Rams. It was a first for our family - we've never been to a college FB game together. We are now bound together and I'm on a quest to turn my kids into WYO fans for life. My heart soared to hear the fight song and be on my old turf again! Some of the kids got to be on the JUMBOTRON during the game and we also got to pose with Pistol Pete for a picture. The weather was cool - but not unbearable. William only slept through an hour of it. We all went in our UW brown and gold - covered with coats and mittens!
The weather was iffy so we left right away in hopes to beat bad roads. It was not to be. We hit snow in the canyon and it stayed with us all the way home. Wade put it into 4-wheel drive and we made it home....SAFELY! They were snowpacked all the way home. It could have been worse. We got home really late so the kids were exhausted.
Rest wasn't to last too long - William woke us at 4am with vomit and diarrhea (sorry to be graphic). He got something and we were so glad we were not on the road or at my brother's house when it hit. He is recuperating nicely now. He is making another creative mess as I type.
To be home - safe - and with my family is truly a tender mercy of the Lord
