An Easter to Remember

For Easter this year, we had the privilege of taking Grandpa Robin and Grandma Alice to the MTC to report to their mission in Doneske Ukraine.  We actually took their belongings to the Super 8 Motel - but their final drop off was the MTC in Provo and it was a grand farewell for such a big change in their lives.  We are so proud of them!  (By the way - we know they got there - but haven't heard from them since.  We assume that is good news! There is a 9 hour time difference.)

We went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City and saw what we could admist all the rain and slush.  Wade, Justin, Chrissy and Erin along with G&G and Lisa and her boys went to the Saturday morning conference at the Conference Center.  (I had a stomachache and stayed with the kids in Farmington.)  The men went to the priesthood session too.  We went to the Legacy Theater and saw the film on Joseph Smith.  It was wonderful!

We took a trip to the zoo!  We don't have one of those in Wyoming.  The giraffes were adorable, the monkeys performed for us, and we were in awe of some of God's creations.  Again, it was rainy and gloomy outside, but William told Wade "that this was the best day!"

We decided to stay a day and play - and the snow came while we did that and socked us in.  It dumped more that 6 inches and we stayed an extra day at Aunt Lisa and Uncle Aaron's home.  They were so much fun!  Little Riley cried when we finally left on Wednesday.  Josh and Tanner were wonderful to stay and play with and made the extra day a lot of fun.

Now the kids are still trying to make up lost time at school, but we wouldn't change that opportunity to be with Robin and Alice for anything.    We traveled home on my birthday (April 7) the LONG way (via Idaho, Montana, and then Wyo) for 12 hours.  The kids were troopers - and glad were are all home safe and sound.
